Who am I
Hi, I’m Jelle Aanstoot — a UX designer based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
I specialize in creating accessible, user-centered digital experiences that are as inclusive as they are effective. I’m currently working at Timing, where I focus on UX research and UI design for both web and mobile platforms.
I hold a degree in Communication and Multimedia Design from the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, where I specialized in Design for Behavioral Change. During my thesis at bol.com, I explored how the brand could reposition itself as a credible clothing retailer — a strategic challenge that taught me the value of iterative design and the power of truly understanding user needs.
In every project, I follow a structured approach grounded in the Double Diamond model. I take time to define the problem clearly, validate it with research, and collaborate with users to shape meaningful, testable solutions. I especially enjoy uncovering insights through user research — it’s where you truly connect with the people you design for, and where the real design challenges reveal themselves.
Accessibility is a priority in my work. I believe digital products should be usable for everyone, regardless of ability, and I actively integrate inclusive principles in everything I design.
Tools I use daily include Figma, Adobe CC, Hotjar, InVision, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
Whether I’m designing an interface, mapping a flow, or facilitating an ideation session, my goal is always the same: to make things that work — for real people.
